Biography
Dr. Heather L. Read is a neuroscientist, entrepreneur, and academic leader with extensive expertise in systems neuroscience and neuroengineering. She is currently a Professor of Psychological Sciences and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut, where she has served in various academic roles since 2002. She is also Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder of Elemind Technologies, Inc., a neurotechnology company launched with collaborators from MIT and other leading institutions. Her research has been consistently supported by the NIH and NSF, with multiple principal investigator and co-PI grants focused on computational neuroscience and brain function.
